Project Officer/PhD students (Singapore)

Positions open for 1 Project-officer and 1-2 PhD students in the Laboratory of Rupshi Mitra, Assistant Professor in School of Biological Sciences at Nanyang Technological University. Our group is investigating ‘neurobiology of resilience’. In particular we are keen to find out what makes some individuals resistant to stress and related disorders, while most others are susceptible. We are using animal models to understand the fundamental biology of resilience and gene therapy techniques to protect against stress-disorders. Details of our research can be found at

Prospective applicants need to demonstrate high motivation and keen interest in neurobiological research of stress/ resilience. The successful candidate should be familiar or willing to learn animal handling, cell culture and molecular biology techniques.
