FACULTY POSITION DIVISION OF ENDOCRINOLOGY, DIABETES, AND HYPERTENSION BRIGHAM AND WOMEN’S HOSPITAL HARVARD MEDICAL SCHOOL

Application Deadline: 29 November 2011
Employer: Brigham And Womens Hospital Harvard Medical School

The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Hypertension, Department of Medicine, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School seeks candidates for a faculty position to develop and conduct an independent research program in the area of diabetes/metabolism. We would consider MD, MD/PhD, or PhD candidates, although our ideal candidate would be a physician-scientist. While we would consider broad areas of research interest in the areas of diabetes mellitus and metabolism, our preference would be for an investigator focused on adipocyte tissue biology. Initial support will include a start-up package, but desirable candidates should have evidence of the ability to compete for independent grant support. Qualifications in clinical endocrinology and clinical interest in an area related to field of research are desirable. Academic rank of Instructor/Assistant Professor level at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training and achievements.

Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employers are actively committed to increasing the diversity of our faculty: women and members of underrepresented minority groups are therefore strongly encouraged to apply.
