Microbiologist - Algae Culture - South West England A growing Biotech company based in the South West of England is currently seeking an experienced Microbiologist, with particular background in algae culture, to join their growing team. They specialise in developing the use of micro algae in waste water treatment and algal biomass production. They are enjoying great success and growth and so it is a very exciting time to be joining them. Working alongside a chemist, you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day management of algae cultures, which will be produced at both lab scale for research and production scale for sale. You will also play a key role in the research of algae strains including testing growth environments, triggers and inhibitors. To be considered for this opportunity you must be qualified to at least BSc level in a relevant field such as Microbiology. You must have a strong demonstrable background working with micro algae. You will have strong evidence of successfully sustaining your own algae cultures. You will also have basic analysis experience such as cell counting, sample prep and the use of centrifuges, freeze dryers etc. This is an excellent opportunity not to be missed.
