We are seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join our research group. We are working at the Faculty of Medicine (University of Lleida), Institut de Recerca Biomèdica de Lleida (IRBLLEIDA, www.irblleida.org). Our projects are focused in the study of cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of motoneuron diseases such as spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). We are performing in vivo and in vitro studies using transgenic animal models with the purpose to characterize in depth the phenotype of these degenerative diseases and carry out therapeutic assays with new agents. (Funding: Ministerio de Economia y Competitividad).
Candidates must fulfill the following requirements: 1) a Bachelor (licenciatura or grado) in life sciences (Medicine, Biomedicine, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy or similar) and a Master Degree, and 2) a good score (> 2) at college. Good English skills will be also considered.
