1 post-doc and 2 PhD available in Amsterdam

Within a NWO (Dutch Science Foundation)-funded VIDI project I am looking for one post-doc and two PhD students. All positions are available from January 2013. The project is based at the Department of Pathology, Academic Medical Center, Amsterdam, and will be supervised by myself but tightly integrated into the groups of Prof. Mat Daemen and Prof. Esther Lutgens. All positions are funded for 4 years. The project focuses on the role of neutrophils in chronic inflammation with a specific emphasis of atherosclerosis. Methodologically, the project involves predominantly animal models of inflammation, specifically of leukocyte recruitment. Hence, applicants should have experience with handling of animals and possibly hold a certificate for animal experimentation.
Applicants should have a good knowledge in physiology, inflammation, and immunology. Post-docs should have a PhD degree in a relevant field. Applicants should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, a quick learner, a good teamplayer and have effective communication skills.                                              .
Please send your motivation letter, CV, list of publications, and the name of two referees to
