Se busca a un investigador pre o post doctoral interesado en formar parte de un pequeño grupo de investigación dedicado a la neurobiologia de la retina y dirigido por el Profesor Neville Osborne en la Fundación de Investigación Oftalmológica (Oviedo, España). El objetivo del laboratorio es la investigación en neuroprotección en enfermedades de la retina como el glaucoma.
EL candidato ideal debe habar ingles y tener experiencia en bioquímica y biología celular. Debe conocer técnicas de cultivos celulares y su análisis con PCR cuantitativa, western blot, y técnicas histoquímicas. El candidato debe estar preparado para trabajar con roedores y tener capacidad de aprender nuevas técnicas rápidamente. Se busca preferentemente a un candidato con el grado de doctor obtenido recientemente o con los estudios de master completados. Pre or Post Doctoral Possition at the Neurobiology laboratory of the Fundación de Investigación Oftalmológica (0viedo, Spain)
A scientist with an interested in neurobiology is sought to join a small research group headed by Professor Osborne at the Fundación de Investigación Oftalmológica in Oviedo, Asturias.  The focus of the laboratory is in the field of neuroprotection in retinal diseases such as glaucoma. The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of the English language and have some experience in biochemical and cell biological procedures. Knowledge, particularly in the culturing of cells and their analysis for viability that includes the use of quantitative PCR, western blotting and histochemical procedures is desirable. The individual must also be prepared to work on rodents and have the adaptability to learn new procedures quickly. Applications from newly qualified PhDs and individuals with a master’s degree are particularly asked to apply.
