la apertura del
llamado para la segunda
edición
(2012-2013) de
la Beca
Presidente
Néstor
Kirchner,
cuyo objetivo es participar
activamente en
la formación de
jóvenes líderes
de América del
Sur.
Esta
Beca está
inspirada en el
legado y los
logros que ha
dejado el
ex-presidente
Néstor Kirchner
durante su gestión
como primer
mandatario de la
República
Argentina
(2003-2007),
sumados a la
importante tarea
que desempeñó como
primer Secretario
General de la
UNASUR (2010). Por

La
Beca
La
Beca consiste en una
estadía de dos
semanas en la New
School University,
durante las cuales
el/la becario/a
presentará sus
trabajos ante
estudiantes y
académicos de Nueva
York, se
entrevistará con
líderes políticos y
sociales, y
realizará distintas
actividades, como
visitas a organismos
gubernamentales
locales y
multinacionales,
además de museos y
bibliotecas
universitarias y
públicas.
En
este llamado se
otorgarán tres
becas:
- La
Beca 1 se
entregará a un/a
ciudadano/a
argentino/a,
y su estadía se
desarrollará del 4
al 17 de noviembre
de 2012.
- La
Beca 2 se
entregará a un/a
ciudadano/a de
un país
sudamericano,
excluyendo
Argentina, y
su estadía se
desarrollará del
17 de febrero al 2
de marzo de 2013.
- La
Beca 3 se
entregará a un/a
ciudadano/a de
cualquiera de
los países de
Sudamérica,
incluyendo
Argentina, y
su estadía se
desarrollará del
17 de febrero al 2
de marzo de 2013.
Perfil
de los aspirantes
Los
aspirantes deben
estar en las
primeras etapas de
sus carreras en ambos
de los dos
siguientes campos:
- En
el campo
académico,
donde deben haber
completado un
título de
postgrado (máster
o doctorado) en
los últimos 15
años o estar
actualmente
realizando una
carrera de
postgrado;
- En
el campo
político/sociedad
civil, donde
deben realizar o
haber realizado
actividades de
servicio público
en organismos del
Estado nacional,
provincial o
municipal, o en
asociaciones u
organizaciones no
gubernamentales
(ONG). En este
campo, deberán
tener una
experiencia
comprobable de un
mínimo de cuatro
años y un máximo
de 15 años.

de investigación
relacionadas a
América del Sur
Los
aspirantes deben
estar trabajando en
una o más de las
siguientes áreas: 1.
Relaciones
económicas
internacionales; 2.
Democracia y medios
de comunicación; 3.
Pobreza y políticas
sociales; 4. Rol del
Estado; 5.
Cooperación e
integración
regional; 6.
Inclusión y justicia
social; 7.

Dear
friend,
We are pleased to
inform you about the
Second Call
(2012-2013) for the
President Néstor
Kirchner Fellowship,
whose objective is
to support the
training of young
leaders from South
America.
This Fellowship has
been inspired by the
recognition of the
legacy and
achievements of the
late President of
Argentina Nestor
Kirchner
(2003-2007), and his
work as the first
Secretary General of
UNASUR (2010). To

The
Fellowship
The
Fellowship consists
of a two-week
stay at The New
School University
in New York,
during which the
Fellow will present
his/her work to
students and faculty
of The New School,
will meet with
political and civil
society leaders, and
will take part in
various other
activities such as
visits to local
government offices
and multinational
organizations, as
well as tour
museums, and public
and university
libraries.
This call for applications will award three
fellowships:
- Fellowship
1
will be awarded
to an Argentine
citizen,
and will take
place November
4-17,
2012.
- Fellowship
2 will
be awarded to citizens
from another
country of
South America,
excluding
Argentina, and
will take place
February
17-March 2,
2013.
- Fellowship
3 will
be awarded to citizens
from any
country of
South America,
including
Argentina, and
will take place
February
17-March 2,
2013.
Applicants'
profile
Applicants
must be in the early
stages of their
careers which must
include activities
in both of
the following
fields:
- In
the academic
field they
must have either
completed a
postgraduate
degree (master or
doctorate) within
the past fifteen
years or are
currently working
towards a
postgraduate
degree;
- In
the political/civil
society field,
they must be
either currently
working or have
previously worked
in public service
organizations of
the state at the
national,
provincial, or
municipal levels,
or in a registered
non-governmental
association or
organizations
(NGOs). In this
field, applicants
must have
verifiable
experience of a
minimum of 4 years
and maximum of 15
years.
Substantive
research areas
related to South
America
Eligible
applicants should be
working in one or
more of the
following fields:

Media; 3. Poverty
and Social Policy;
4. Role of the
State; 5. Regional
