A postdoctoral position is available

Postdoctoral position on protein quality control

A postdoctoral position is available in the lab of Pedro Carvalho at the Center for Genomic Regulation (CRG) in Barcelona, Spain. Our laboratory studies the molecular mechanisms by which misfolded secretory and membrane proteins are detected and eliminated from cells. We are seeking to recruit an outstanding, highly motivated scientist to work on protein quality control. For further information regarding the position or our research interests please visit our webpage (http://pasteur.crg.es/pedro_carvalho) or contact Pedro Carvalho (pedro.carvalho@crg.eu)

Applicants should hold a Ph.D in biology, biochemistry or related areas with at least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed international journal. The ability to work independently and strong skills in molecular and cell biology are required; experience in protein expression and purification would be an advantage. Interested candidates should send their CV, including summary of research interests, and contact information of 2 references to pedro.carvalho@crg.eu.

The Institute

The CRG is an innovative centre created in December 2000 and located in the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB) in downtown Barcelona, in a beautiful location on the Mediterranean seafront. Its mission is to promote excellent basic research in biomedicine, cutting-edge technology development and high quality training of the next generation of biological scientists. CRG has a highly international culture and the working language is English. For more information visit http://www.crg.es
