Career Development Fellowships – Apoptosis and Cancer (ref: IRC42190 )

The Medical Research Council Toxicology Unit is an internationally renowned institution delivering field-changing mechanistic insights into toxicology and disease.  

The  Apoptosis and Cancer Group led by Gerry Melino was  established in 2004  and publish extensively in high impact factor journals.  We are now looking for three  Career  Development Fellows to join these groups working on projects focusing on the role of   
(i)  microRNA in cancer biology and 
(ii)  cancer metabolism. 

These are three year training and development positions suitable for scientists who have just completed (or about to complete) their PhD or those wishing to move into a new research discipline.
Candidates should have a background and interest in apoptosis and cancer with experience of cellular and molecular biology and/or biochemistry.   

The starting salary will be from a minimum of £26,022 per annum.
