The IMDEA Food Foundation is recruiting personnel specialist of the highest international profile who want to develop their research career at IMDEA Food.
Within this context, the IMDEA Food Foundation launches this Call for the recruitment of personnel covering the following position:
•       Ref. BS2012/004- Senior Nutricionist.

Job Category:
nutrition/ nutritional genomics/biomedical research/food and health

Job Description:
Responsible of ietary interventional studies and observational studies including protocol design, ethics committee processing, volunteers recruitment and management, data mining, etc..
Conducting nutritional information campaigns.
Participation in the biological sample obtaining and processing.
Participation in grant proposal preparations, study protocols, integrated summaries for reports and manuscripts.
Qualifications  Demonstrated expertise in conducting dietary interventional studies
Demonstrated expertise in scientific research in nutrition and health, clinical, teaching and clinical consultation (more than 5 years preferred)
Experience using statistical programming  systems (SPSS or R)
Demonstrate positive attitude, professional and excellent communication skills both written and speaking.
Ability to identify and resolve areas of concerns. Work with others as necessary.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize workload.
Authorship  in peer-reviewed publications (preferred).

Education:
MS in Nutrition and Dietetics. Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences.

Evaluation and selection of candidates:
Candidates will be selected based on the profiles described in Annex 1 as appropriately outlined in their CV and project by a Selection Committee composed by IMDEA Food Direction and scientist staff.  Ad-hoc experts could be participate in the process. If necessary, personal interviews will be scheduled with all or some of the pre-selected candidates.

They must upload their Curriculum Vitae (including a cover letter with the Reference of the post they are interested in and complete contact information for two references) and a one-page statement of their research objectives/project (Brief statement of purpose describing their interest in IMDEA and their research plans in case they are selected).
The results of the selection will be published in the IMDEA Food Institute’s web page http://www.alimentacion.imdea.org and the selected candidate will be notified by e-mail. The selected candidate will receive a contractual offer and - if he/she agrees with it - must accept it within five (5) days after notification.
