We are looking for a postdoctoral scientist to join our
multidisciplinary team investigating cellular and molecular mechanisms
controlling the development of inhibitory circuits in the cerebral
cortex, and their relation to neuropsychiatric disorders such as
schizophrenia (see, Fazzari et al., Nature 464: 1376-1382, 2010).
Candidates should hold a PhD in neuroscience, with special emphasis in
electrophysiology. Candidates with experience in electrophysiology in
vivo are particularly encouraged to apply. The successful applicant is
expected to contribute to the analysis of impaired neuronal circuit
function using conditional mouse mutants of risk genes for
schizophrenia.
This project is part of a collaboration between the laboratory of John
Isaac at Lilly (Erl Wood, UK) and the laboratories of Beatriz Rico and
Oscar Marín at the Instituto de Neurociencias (Alicante, Spain). Funding
is available for an initial period of two years, with salary according
to experience.
Applications will be considered until December 15th.
Información complementaria de la oferta:
Applicants should sent an email to Beatriz Rico (brico@umh.es) including:
(1) A brief description of past achievements and technical expertise;
(2) CV, with a separate list of publications; and (3) contact
