The work is focused on the molecular and cellular biology of Alzheimer’s Disease (AD). Projects include investigations on the regulatory role of protein and lipid metabolism and trafficking in AD recent research articels: Tamboli et al. J Neurosci 28, 12097 (2208); Tamboli et al., J Neurosci 31, 1837 (2011); Kumar et al. EMBO J 30, 2255 (2011), Glebov et al., J Biol Chem 286, 22711 (2011); for review: Tamboli et al., Autophagy 7, 645, Walter, Curr Alz Res, in press). We seek for candidates with strong background in molecular cell biology, histochemistry and biochemistry. Candidates with experience in breeding and analysis of experimental animals (mice or drosophila) are specifically encouraged to apply. The position is supported by the DFG and initially available for two years with possible elongation. We offer to work in a young and motivated team in a well equipped lab. Applications should include CV, statement of research interest, certificates, and names and addresses of two referees and be send preferably by e-mail.
