NIAID training in Panama/NIAID entrenamiento en Panama

I would like to inform you that the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), NIH, will be conducting a Grants Policy and Management Training Workshop in Panama, November 30 – December 2, 2011.

For more information about the workshop content, please see the attached invitation letter.  In brief, this workshop will provide essential information about NIAID and NIH grant policies. Session topics will include:

·       Cost Issues: What Expenses and Expenditures are considered Allowable and Unallowable

·       What Actions can Delay the Disbursement of Grant Funds

·       What is the NIAID policy regarding Select Agents and Highly pathogenic agents

·       How to Complete a Progress Report

·       How to Complete a Federal Financial Report

·       What is required of projects that involve subcontracts and foreign collaboration

·       Tips on how to remain compliant with NIH policies
