Post-doc position on Wnt signalling/University of Aberdeen/Scotland

CELL AND DEVELOPMENTAL BIOLOGY RESEARCH PROGRAMME
INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES, UNIVERSITY OF ABERDEEN, SCOTLAND, UK
Tissue-specific gene regulation by Wnt signalling
A Post-doctoral Research Fellowship is available to investigate the molecular mechanisms of tissue-specific
Wnt/!-catenin signalling. The project involves high-throughput next generation sequencing to analyze tissue-
specific regulation of gene expression by Wnt signalling using Xenopus embryos as an experimental model.
ChIP and promoter analysis in Xenopus transgenics will reveal molecular transcription factor–promoter DNA
interactions.
This  research  project  is  funded by the UK  Biotechnology and Biological Sciences
Research Council and is part of an international collaboration between Dr. Hoppler!s
group,  Prof. Juan Larraín and colleagues in Chile and Prof. Gert-Jan Veenstra!s
laboratory in the Netherlands. The formal closing date is 1 May 2011, but applications
will be considered when received and the position may be offered before this date.
