Dear colleague,
I would be great if you could distribute the following PhD-student position at Uppsala University:
PhD-student position in Limnology/Aquatic Biogeochemistry: carbon dioxide fluxes from freshwaters under a changing climate
at the Dept. of Ecology and Genetics/Limnology; http://www.ebc.uu.se/ Forskning/IEG/limno
Starting date: August 1, 2011 or as agreed upon
Description of the subject area: Applications are encouraged for a 4-year PhD-student position focusing on the effects of changing snow- and ice cover conditions in the arctic and boreal region on carbon dioxide emissions from freshwaters. The PhD-project is part of the Centre of Excellence ”Cryosphere-atmosphere interactions in a changing arctic climate (CRAICC; http://www.atm.helsinki.fi/ craicc/), financed by NordForsk. Cooperation with Helsinki University and the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) is part of the project which includes field work for the gathering of own data as well as analyses of already existing large datasets.
We can offer a very international dynamic research group. More information about the position is in the attachment, both available in Swedish and in English.
All the best
Gesa Weyhenmeyer
